My dog's stye keeps reopening. When should I take her to the vet?

I'd try applying a warm compress to it five minutes a day a couple times a day to see if that helps open it up and drain. If this does not help, it gets bigger, starts bleeding or has pus, or it starts to bother her, then I would have her seen by a vet for it. I hope this helps!

This looks suspicious of a meibomian cyst-a cyst including a small gland around the eyelid. Many times they will "rupture" on their own but will regrow in the same area after this happens. I always recommend removal as they can become quite large and irritate the eye of he affected animal. If they are not surgically removed by your vet-normally part of the cyst remains and refills. Although a picture of the injury would help to give you a specific answer, I would strongly recommend to have the eye checked by your local vet as soon as possible to confirm diagnosis and have the best treatment options. Antibiotic and anti-inflammatory eye drops may be needed.

If it's still there on Monday or if Caesar is still rubbing at it, I recommend to have him examined. In the mean time, have Caesar wear an elizabethan collar at all times. If he accidently scratches his eye while rubbing at it, he'll need to go to the vet before Monday. Have him wear the collar at all times. You can apply a warm compress to it every couple of hours for 10 minutes. This might help it to come to a head. If it ruptures, gently clean it with water and protect it from rubbing. You may want to give your vet a call and tell them it is getting worse. It sounds like this scab could be a hot spot or superficial bacterial infection. While stopping the itching sometimes helps an infection resolve (if that’s what this is) other times topical or oral antibiotics are needed. It’s a good idea to keep the e-collar on until the lesion is gone.

It is possible that Ganja has something like an infection or perhaps a sty on the eyelid. It sounds like the lesion is getting worse. Sometimes the body will heal this on its own, if it ruptures or you notice continuous oozing, pain or excess of redness, have her examined by the veterinarian. If it does not go away completely within a few days, also have her examined by the veterinarian. Protect the area from rubbing or scratching with an Elizabethan collar. You can gently apply a warm, not hot, compress to the area twice a day. This may help. It’s always best to play it safe so use your best judgment. Soaked a soft washcloth in hot water, let it cool a bit (it should be warm to the touch), and apply it to the sty for five minutes at a time a couple of times a days. If this doesn't help drain the sty, have her seen by a vet.
