My dog was stung and is vomiting. What should I do if far from vet?

This could be from eating horse poo, and it could be a reaction to the sting. If he keeps throwing up or if the bee sting swelling does not go down you should take him to a veterinarian for some stronger medication to reduce the swelling. Once he stops vomiting you can withhold feed for about 12 hrs, then feed bland food (boiled rice with boiled boneless white chicken meat) for a day and then slowly introduce his regular food again . Should Percy get lethargic, get breathing problems or appear ill any other way, he should be seen by a veterinarian right away.

I would be concerned since she has vomited five times in two hours, and I think seeing a vet is best for her now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. Poor Mercy! It's hard to say for sure what may have bitten her - wasp or bee stings, spider bites, and even snake bites can all cause reactions like this. If she is vomiting, has hives, and her face is swelling, these are signs of a serious allergic reaction that needs immediate veterinary care. I would recommend taking Mercy to the vet right away for an exam and treatment.

I would stop all the medicine and let her stomach rest. Steriods can cause GI upset andnit can be worse if they don’t have food in their system. Vomiting and diarrhea can be a side effect of the medicine. I would only feed chicken and rice to let her tummy rest for the next 24 hours

Dogs can be allergic to bees and stings will swell. It could be possible that she was stung by a bee, but my answer is still the same, she needs emergency veterinary care now. Swelling from bee stings in the mouth can and do cause the airways to be blocked off, leading to respiratory distress and death. She sounds very ill, and if there was anything you could do at home for her, I would tell you. There honestly isn't, she needs to see a vet right away.

Allergic reactions after bug bites in dogs can result in a swollen face, and can also result in some gastritis (vomiting and diarrhea). It looks like the swelling is improving which is good. I would suggest a vet visit if you can for the vomiting and diarrhea, however if that isn't possible then I would suggest to feed a bland diet of boiled/boneless/skinless chicken breasts and boiled rice, in small frequent meals for the next couple days. This will heal up a mild gastritis. The swelling will take time to come down, so just monitor that it isn't getting worse. If the diarrhea continues or if it becomes very bloody (looks like jam) then you will need to figure out how to take him to a vet. Best of luck with Charlie!
