My dog ate a bee and is throwing up repeatedly. Should I call the vet?

That's not good. I wonder if Spot is suffering from a contact allergy causing his hives. Vomiting can also be a sign of an allergic reaction. This could be from eating horse poo, and it could be a reaction to the sting. If he keeps throwing up or if the bee sting swelling does not go down you should take him to a veterinarian for some stronger medication to reduce the swelling. Once he stops vomiting you can withhold feed for about 12 hrs, then feed bland food (boiled rice with boiled boneless white chicken meat) for a day and then slowly introduce his regular food again . Should Percy get lethargic, get breathing problems or appear ill any other way, he should be seen by a veterinarian right away.

I agree that Sahara's vomit looks like there may be blood in it. Given that she is fine, acting normal, and eating, I wouldn't rush her into a vet just yet. I am sorry to hear Madison is not feeling well. Insect stings can cause anaphylaxis just like in people. It is a good sign the facial swelling is going down and you can administer an over the counter antihistamine. However, if the vomiting does not stop I would recommend taking her to a vet for medications to stop the vomiting. I would be concerned that she might become dehydrated. Also, you can feed a bland diet to help her rest her stomach.

If the symptoms don't seem to bad and if he isn't lethargic or having problems breathing just wait 2-3 hours, it should start getting better by then. in any case of respiratory problems or lethargy you must take him to the vet urgently.

You absolutely need to be worried. Profuse vomiting and diarrhea are signs of severe allergic reaction- which I am even more concerned about if there were bees. There are other explanations but allergic reactions can be life-threatening, especially if all this has already happened. I would take her to the emergency clinic immediately for treatment.
