My dog stumbles and shakes head. Are her ear issues an emergency?

It's not an immediate emergency but it is definitely very uncomfortable and painful, if you have the option to take him today to the out of hours vet i would recommend doing that, otherwise take him to your vet first thing tomorrow morning.

I would recommend trying to get Desmond in sooner. It does not have to be today but maybe tomorrow or wednesday. It most likely is an ear infection that needs medication. I agree, it sounds like Voodoo is having a problem with her ears, and I suspect an ear infection. The problem with waiting a few weeks is that this is going to get worse, and if she keeps shaking her head, she will develop an aural hematoma which means more treatment. I would get her into a vet this week. Best of luck.

I would recommend having Dexter examined by a veterinarian to get a good ear exam in order to determine if anything is stuck in the ear canal or if there is an infection that needs to be treated. I would not advise trying to stick anything into the ear at home or trying to remove anything yourself as you could potentially damage the ear drum. It sounds like Libby have a severe ear infection, and I would take her into a vet immediately. This will be very painful to her, and leaving it untreated can lead to hearing loss. The vet can confirm that she does have an ear infection, and can treat her for it. Please take her into an ER vet or find a vet on call to see her now.

Hi. Poor Bo Luke. Sounds like he most likely has an ear infection. Sometimes these can be in the middle or inner ear, or be bad enough to spread there from outter ear. This can then cause pain, lethargy, swelling, head tilting, and walking as if drunk/ to one side. He will need an exam, ear exam, ear cytology to see if yeast or bacterial, then put on the correct medications, and pain medications! With these signs, I would take him to ER tonight. He is pprobably pretty uncomfortable. Good luck
