Why is my dog on antibiotics for throat infection sneezing blood?

My dog is on antibiotics for throat infection but is sneezing a lot and has bloody discharge coming from his nose

Hello, & thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. A bloody nasal discharge may just be a part of Yoshi's infection, but I would contact the veterinarian who placed him on the antibiotics to especially apprise him if this is a new symptom. It is possible that Yoshi's infection was actually in his sinuses, not in his throat & he may need a change of antibiotics, or the addition of another medication to make him comfortable. Hopefully, he will be feeling better soon. Take care.
