My dog sneezes blood after antibiotics failed. Is it aspergillosis?

Oh no, poor Bonnie! If the antibiotics are not helping with her sneezing bloody snot, then I would be concerned that her symptoms are caused by something more serious such as a fungal infection or even a tumor. I would take Bonnie back into a vet tomorrow for further testing such as blood tests, urinalysis, a culture of her nasal passages, chest x-rays, and an x-ray of her head. These tests will help the vet see if there is another cause of her symptoms, and then can discuss treatment options with you.

Poor Daisy! She is an older girl, and unfortunately this sneezing with blood in her snot could be due to a malignant growth (cancer) in her nasal cavity. It could also be due to a foreign body, fungal infection, or respiratory infection. Because this has been ongoing for a while, it's best that Daisy is seen by a vet either today or tomorrow. The vet can do a physical exam, blood tests, urinalysis, x-rays, and may look up her nasal cavity with an endoscope to diagnose what is causing her symptoms. Once a cause is found, the vet can discuss treatment options with you.

It's true that fungal infections can be a cause of nosebleeds in dogs, but they can also be caused by nasal tumors or even a foreign body such as a blade of grass or other plant material. Since there has been no improvement in four months with antifungals, I would be concerned that something else may be causing the bleeding. I would suggest having a rhinoscopy done to visualize the inside of the nasal cavity and take biopsies and culture samples of the tissue there to determine if the bleeding is really caused by a fungal infection or some other problem.

Aspergillosis will usually cause a marked nasal discharge and in most cases also nose bleeds and it does not sound like those are present. Hopefully this resolves and Aster does well which is likely. I think you need to get a second opinion from another vet, preferably one who has a rhinoscope and can actually look into your dog's upper respiratory passages. By examining the nasal passages with a rhinoscope one will be able to see whether there is a tumor present or more plant debris or foreign material that may need to be removed and so stop the constant infections and bleeding. Your vet may be able to refer you to a relevant clinic.

Chronic sneezing and bleeding from the nose in a 15 year old cat could be caused by a number of different things, including chronic rhinitis, a severe bacterial respiratory infection, a fungal infection such as cryptococcus, or a nasal tumor. None of these will typically cause any changes on lab work, so usually CT scan/MRI and rhinoscopy are required to get a diagnosis. If this is something you're interested in, then I would ask your veterinarian for a referral to a specialist to have this testing done. Without additional testing, it's likely that you won't be able to find out what the specific problem is, so we're left with treating it symptomatically. Long-term antibiotics such as doxycycline or azithromycin can sometimes be helpful, as there is often a secondary bacterial infection contributing to the pet's symptoms even if this isn't the main problem. Oral or injectable steroids, Cerenia, humidifiers, and even antibiotic/steroid nose drops could all be considered as possible treatment options that may help to relieve symptoms. Your veterinarian should be able to discuss the pros and cons of these various options with you to help determine the best treatment plan for Bailey.

I would definitely be concerned about the bloody nose. Since he does frequent the dog park, infections such as bordetella, influenza, or even contagious nasal mites are possible.
