Dog got snake bite meds early. Is it okay to skip next dose?

Hello. You can definitely skip the 7 PM dose today & restart the schedule tomorrow morning, or if you think it will simplify things, just give the pill in the evenings from here on out. Teddy will likely be fine. Plan on giving him the next dose at 11am tomorrow morning to get him back in schedule. Watch him closely for vomiting, diarrhea or not eating well. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions.

It is best to give the next dose at his regularly scheduled time unless the dose you just gave was very close to it. 8-10 hours apart should be fine to get him back on his regular medical schedule. If he has any issues, or if you are concerned about the meds you are giving, it is best to speak with his treating veterinarian for more information.

It is ok if Sasha has her Tramadol a couple hours earlier than normal. It is sometimes prescribed for use every 6 hours. The main side effect from dosing more frequently is sedation, and possible constipation. If you see these then it is a good idea to skip the next dose rather than dose too early.

Just remember to give him his enapril pill tomorrow as you have done in the past. Missing multiple days in a row may cause a problem but missing one dose is not concerning. Hello. I would probably wait another 10 days after the last steroid pill before taking Izzy to surgery. That means rescheduling her spay until around 6/10. I would call animal control & explain that Izzy was injured & has been on medications & delaying her surgery for 10 days is recommended. Hopefully, this will not be an issue.
