My dog has small bumps on his skin for weeks. Should I see a vet?

Hello. This sounds like it might be an allergic reaction. This could result in swelling around the airways. If hives are present (raised, haired bumps about 1cm across), then I would suggest a visit to the vet for some medications. Good luck with your little one!

This is very tiny and probably nothing but i can't tell you what it is at this point and without testing it. monitor it over several weeks, if it continues growing take him to the vet in order to get it checked.

Poor Bowzer, it looks like he is having an allergic reaction. He should be see by a veterinarian so that they can administer allergy medications and control his symptoms. Other signs of allergy include a swollen face, vomiting, and lethargy in addition to the hives you are currently seeing. More severe complications with allergies include difficulty breathing. These bumps could be from an allergic reaction, mites, fleas, or a skin infection. Because Benadryl hasn't helped and Kylo has had these bumps for a week, it's time to see the vet. The vet can diagnose the cause of the bumps, and can prescribe the correct treatment for them. I would take him into the vet in the morning. I hope this helps!

Without being able to see him, it is hard for me to tell you exactly what could be going on. Small bumps all over the body could be hives from an allergic reaction, infection, fleas, mites, or even cancer. I would keep a close eye on Diesel, if the bumps continue to spread or have not gone away in 12-24 hours, or if he starts coughing, having trouble breathing, stops eating, or becomes lethargic, he may need to see a vet.

This can be caused by a localized skin infection, an infestation with mites or fleas, or even an allergic reaction. It is likely that these conditions may be causing Hump to be itchy, and she may be having these scabs from scratching. A vet can perform some tests including blood work, and taking some samples from Hump's skin to figure out what is going on and prescribe an appropriate treatment plan. I hope this helps!
