Why does my dog have small white bumps on his skin and act strange?

This can be caused by a localized skin infection, an infestation with mites or fleas, or even an allergic reaction. It is likely that these conditions may be causing Hump to be itchy, and she may be having these scabs from scratching. A vet can perform some tests including blood work, and taking some samples from Hump's skin to figure out what is going on and prescribe an appropriate treatment plan. I hope this helps!

These may be the result of a bacterial skin infection, mange, or be growths. I recommend having Bonita seen by a vet if these bumps do not resolve on their own in the next few days. Any bump or mass on a dog should be examined by a veterinarian in person. Your vet can perform an exam and a fine-needle aspirate of the mass - where he/she uses a needle and syringe to sample cells from the mass and look at them under a microscope. This way, your veterinarian can determine what type of mass that is and then recommend treatment. I hope this is helpful!

I would encourage you to check in with your veterinarian to check for this possibility so that therapy can be used accordingly. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Possible causes are a skin infection from either yeast or bacteria or even both, demodex or even rignworm. Sadly they can all look like this. I would take Ace to the Vet and have his skin looked at. A skin infection tends to be easy to diagnose visually. Demodex requires a skin scrape and ringworm is a fungus that needs to be cultured. I wish Ace a speedy recovery!
