Will my Husky get depressed sleeping outside or sick from rain?

This can take some time and patience - he would much rahter be playing with you then spending time on his own! With some gentle encouragement however, including chew/food toys which keep him busy (there are many puzzle feeders you can buy or DIY models such as plastic bottles with small holes for the food to come out) and a regular routine he will learn. He’s probably lonely living out there by himself when he’s been used to being in the house. I’d keep him in with you at night and sometimes in the day. He would enjoy walks outside of his fenced area also and playing with you or perhaps other dogs. That life is boring so I recommend doing more with him so he doesn’t develop behavioral problems. HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Odie is super cute! If Odie is an outside dog then he needs shelter from the rain and the cold. Provide a dog house that is dry and protects from the wind, rain and snow (if you get snow). You can even look in to safe heat sources if it gets that cold in your area. I do not recommend not having shelter for outside dogs. He shouldn't get sick with proper shelter. I hope this helps and good luck!

This is a difficult question to answer because it's all based upon her and your temperament. Huskies in general tend to be very active dogs who can become destructive when bored. They need lots of daily exercise to meet their energy requirements. They can also be very vocal dogs. Keep in mind, every dog is an individual so she may not act like this. ANY dog who is bored may develop bad habits. Being an outside dog means that she has been able to run around and has likely not experienced much structure in her life since she was not inside with the family. Living inside means rules, structure and routine. It's also unknown if she is housebroken or not. Taking on any pet is a big responsibility. Many huskies live indoors just fine. If you decide to adopt her, you will need to commit to daily exercise and be prepared for some bumps along the way. You may want to take off work for the first week so you can be home with her as she adjusts. You may also look into doggie daycare or a dog walker to come by and check on her during your work day until you know how she is adjusting. I'm not sure if you've already gotten the Husky or not, but I can definitely give you my thoughts. Huskies are a very vocal breed so it is possible that this pet will be a barker as well. Huskies need a lot of exercise and will need regular grooming as well. Being a pure breed, they can't have more problems than a mixed breed including allergies, cancers, behavioral issues, and many more. But these things can happen with any pet so it's hard to predict. The basics would be vaccinations, annual examinations, spay or neuter, flea and tick prevention, and heartworm prevention. He can live inside without problems but he will need to be walked one hour a day when not too hot. No special devices needed, but certainly Vuki needs to have access to cold and well ventilated spots during summer time. Croatia can have cold winter seasons so your husky will mostly enjoy those times!

IT is true, they can adapt but they are generally quite miserable most of the summer, you will need to make sure they are with air condition most of the days and you will only be able to take him out early morning and evenings.
