How to get my husky puppy to accept his dog house and stop howling?

It could be that Oakley is suffering from separation anxiety, causing him to bark when he's alone. I recommend crating him when you are gone. The crate will provide him a small space where he can feel safe in it when you are gone. You will have to slowly train him to get used to a crate. Start putting him in it when you are home and sitting nearby so he doesn't think you are abandoning him, and slowly increase the time he is in it. He can have toys in the crate, and puzzle toys with treats in it that he has to figure out how to get the treats out. You can put a tablespoon of peanut butter in a Kong toy and freeze it in the freezer overnight, then give it to him in the crate. That will keep him occupied for a while. Finally, you can get a pheromone diffuser called DAP that helps dogs with anxiety and pair that will a DAP pheromone collar that releases pheromones when in contact with his skin. If these methods do not help him, then I recommend having him seen by a vet to discuss the use of anti-anxiety medications. Best of luck, I hope this helps!

Puppies learn to explore with their mouth. Luckily she is young and can be trained with patience and consistency. First, make sure you have lots of treats handy. Second, have lots of toys handy. When you are playing with Luna and she starts to bite you, make a high pitched squeal. When she stops biting, tell her good girl and give her a treat or toy. When she chews on the toy, tell her shes a good girl. She will get the hang of it. For the crate, you need to get her used to it slowly. When you are home, feed her in there without closing the door. Put treats and toys in there so she can come and go when she likes. Slowly build up to closing the door for short periods. Give treats when shes calm inside the crate. You can perhaps help with anti-anxiety medications such as Trazodone which can be used on an as needed basis. Calming treats are not particularly helpful so I am not surprised that you have not noticed a difference with those. Young puppies do not have separation anxiety because they are too young. This is more often related to not wanting to be separated from their 'pack'. Arctic breeds can be very pack oriented. It is a good idea to teach puppies to be comfortable with separation. I recommend to read many books about dog training. There is one trainer named Victoria Stilwell who I think has good methods. Stick with positive re-enforcement. Make sure to stick to a routine, give DouDou plenty of exercise and don't enforce the behavior by letting the puppy out of the crate when she is crying. Thanks for using PetCoah. This sounds like perfectly normal behavior for a puppy. The best way to improve the behavior is to spend plenty of time exercising, playing, and working on training. Even training simple things like sit, stay, fetch, can prevent anxiety help Okuri-inu regulate his behavior and stay more calm. Also consider constructing a small run for him outside. Siberians can be quite "active" if left alone for long periods. Are you by any chance scolding Luna when you find the mess? If so, that can set up a situation where she thinks that she is going to be reprimanded every time you come home, which leads to anxiety while you are away, which leads to more mess-making! It is useless, and even counterproductive, to correct a dog for a behavior that occurred even five minutes ago. She just won't make the connection, even if you "show her," etc. Try leaving her a big Kong toy stuffed with peanut butter (make the night before and freeze) to occupy her. You may need to resort to a crate, because if she deoes something naughty and is not IMMEDIATELY corrected, she will not understand that it's wrong to do it. I generally recommend crate training for bigger dogs for house training as it helps establish a routine and a safe space for them. Make sure the crate is big enough for him to stand up and turn around but not much bigger than that. Try to keep to a schedule in terms of taking him outside, feeding him, and putting him in the crate every day. Huskies can be kind of vocal so he may protest a little bit at first. Having the radio or TV on to provide some background noise may help make him feel less alone.
