This could be a form of seizure activity. I recommend getting your dog seen by your vet as soon as possible for an exam and lab work. If you can get a video of the episode, please do, so your vet will know what you're seeing. Sustained or repeated seizures can cause the body temperature to rise to dangerous levels and increases the risk of brain damage. When you have a chance, take a look around and see if you can find anything he might have gotten into, since poisoning is one of the causes of seizures. If he has a history of liver or kidney disease, this is also a potential cause. Sometimes we never know why a pet has a seizure. If he does have a series of seizures, your vet will want to do an exam and bloodwork to try and determine a cause and potentially put your pet on anti-seizure medication to lessen the chances of this happening again in the future.

I am sorry to hear about Baby. I would be concerned about things like a seizure disorder (they can sometimes act "out of it" prior to and after a seizure, and seizures can sometimes be mild and you may not notice them falling over and thrashing as you see in severe seizures), I would also worry about things like a liver shunt which can cause neurological signs. I would recommend bringing Baby in for an exam at the vet. They can do a neurological exam on him and may recommend bloodwork to check for underlying causes for his behavior.

I'm a little concerned that these symptoms you report may be mild seizure activity. Especially if she does not really respond to you during the event. Circling can also be a symptom of something going on with the head (seizure or otherwise). If this has occurred more than once I would recommend a visit to your vet for a baseline neurologic exam and some blood work to rule out anything wrong with her blood sugar, electrolytes, or organ function. If you can catch an episode on video this can be really helpful so that your vet can determine if this is neurologic in origin. If determined to be neurologic in origin, then there are many things that can cause this, and further testing and/or anti-seizure medication may be needed. If you feel that Dexter may have had a seizure last night, I would have him evaluated by a veterinarian at their next available appointment. There are many causes of seizures including low blood sugar, liver disease such as a shunt, kidney disease, and disease within the cranium or cerebrospinal fluid. Your veterinarian can perform an exam on Dexter and best localize the problem. He/she may recommend bloodwork to help understand what may have happened to Dexter. I hope this is helpful!

I hate to hear that Peyton had some sort of an episode. Certainly urinating on himself is suspicious of a seizure type activity, although other neurological abnormalities could cause similar signs. I recommend to have him seen by his veterinarian today if possible. The doctor will check his neurological reflexes to try to determine the cause. If it was a seizure, this can be caused by epilepsy, electrolyte imbalance, liver disease or cancer.
