Is it safe to give my dog Revolution and Bravecto at the same time?

Hello. For the most part, this should be safe. I have seen cautions about waiting 24 hours to 1 week, but the longer wait may be to separate possible individual side effects, such as vomiting. I think, just to be absolutely sure, waiting another day or so before using the Bravecto would be prudent. While there's technically no reason that these two medications can't be used together, they are both heartworm preventatives - so there's quite a bit over overlap in what they do, and both should not be needed at the same time. If your pup is currently on Interceptor and you want to add a second medication to cover fleas, I would recommend using something like Nexgard or Bravecto - these are flea/tick meds only, so you wouldn't be treating her unnecessarily for heartworms with two different meds.

Hi yes you can use both treatments on Daphne but i suggest separating the application by two weeks. You can also consider using a product like Proheart6 - an injectable heartworm prevention given at the vet hospital that lasts for 6mths. I find that revolution works well for fleas, but doesn't cover all types of ticks. Hope this helps!

Revolution is safe for collie breeds however it only covers heart worm and flea prevention. Bravecto is an oral flea/tick prevention that can be given every 12 weeks for flea/tick prevention. It has been proven in studies to be safe in dogs with the mdr1 gene mutation and is usually given along with a monthly heartworm preventative such as Interceptor. You can discuss with your veterinarian possibly preventing vaccine reactions (vomiting, diarrhea, facial swelling, hives) by pre-treating with Benadryl. Good luck!

Those two products are usually fine to use together. However in some very sensitive dogs that could cause muscle tremors and shaking. I would wait at least 2-3 days after applying the Revolution before placing a collar on Cadbury. If he has any tremors/shaking remove the collar and alert your veterinarian. If revolution is not working for your flea/tick control you could consider adding on nexguard which is an oral flea and tick medication or even a Seresto collar.
