Is a 7-wk Boxer puppy's red eyes, runny nose, and eating weeds normal?

Hello. I would not say that weepy eyes are normal for any puppy. It is a little difficult to say from the photo, but I get the impression that there is a little inflammation in the skin around the eyes, & maybe even a little hair loss. In puppies, this could just be a mild infection, or even the presence of demodectic mange. A simple skin scrape can determine if this is mange, & it is generally pretty easy to clear up. If this is the puppy you have your heart set on, then have the breeder take him to their veterinarian with the stipulation that all clinical notes are sent to your veterinarian. If this is not possible, then I would make some arrangement to take your new puppy to your veterinarian within a day or so of you obtaining him. You can discuss if anything is found, how much the breeder might compensate you for the cost of the puppy, if you like. Otherwise, he is a beautiful puppy! Your puppy should see a veterinarian right away. It appears that she has an eye infection and without seeing it in person, it is impossible to evaluate the condition of the cornea or surface of the eye. It is always best to have eye problems diagnosed and treated within the first 24 hours of symptoms to make sure the problem does not progress. Your pup will at least require some prescription eye medication and possibly other mess depending on the severity of the problem.

Based on what you are describing I would assume that Jax is just suffering from seasonal allergies. Since he is otherwise eating and drinking well I would not be too concerned. You may want to call your veterinarian and ask about an over the counter medication, like Zyrtec, and see if it is appropriate for Jax. I hope this helps. This may be from an allergic reaction from a bite or sting or something in the environment. In severe cases, vomiting and lethargy can occur and be related. However being a puppy, he does need to be seen by a vet to make sure there is nothing else going on such as a viral infection that is causing the vomiting and lethargy, parvo. Your vet can examine him and check for parvo if needed and determine if it is all a reaction or something else

From the photo, that looks to me more like a pustule (focal little infection) than a congenital defect (something he was born with). I wonder if he may have gotten a mild injury from playing with the other pups. If it hasn't gone away by the time the pup is ready to go home with you, I would make sure the breeder has the pup evaluated by their vet prior to you picking it up, or make sure the contract includes a clause that the breeder is responsible for having the bump evaluated and addressed.

As long as they feed well, pass urine and stools regularly, put on weight and are active there is nothing to worry about. Watery nasal discharge and sneezing is probably a result of upper airways viral infection. If the discharge is watery, you just need to to clean their noses with clean tissue (baby wipes will be fine). However, if the discharge turns green/yellow or they start to be lethargic, you should get them checked by your local vets.
