My dog has red eyes for two days, but no pain. Should I see a vet?

Poor Macy! Without being able to see her eye, I can't say for sure what might be going on. But if she is acting painful and the eye is visibly red or bloody, I would be concerned that she may have injured it somehow in the crate. Eye problems should always be seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible, since there can sometimes be permanent damage or vision loss if treatment is delayed - so ideally, I would recommend taking her to an emergency clinic tonight to be seen. If this isn't possible, I would take her to see your regular vet first thing in the morning.

I am so sorry that Tasha has hurt her eye. I am concerned that she has injured her eye and that it could get worse if not properly treated. I would recommend to take her to your veterinarian for an exam, diagnostics, and possibly eye medication. Your vet may want to stain her eye to ensure there isn't a scratch on her cornea. There is a good chance that it could be just bruised or irritated, but I would rather be safe than sorry and have her eye get worse and/or infected. I hope that sweet girl's eye starts to feel better soon!

Possible causes are: a corneal ulcer, infection, allergies, trauma, inflammation or glaucoma. There are specific medications that are safe for the eye and she needs a diagnosis first. You need to take Rosie into a vet as soon as possible. This film can be a sign of an infection, and an eye problem is considered an emergency. This is because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. Please take her into a vet now.

I would not say that him having red eyes is ever normal. However if he is really hyper and has been barking at the vet/ pulling on his leash at home he might have red eyes. However if he is having a mild allergy or has a mild upper respiratory infection I would be more concerned. I would recommend taking him back to the vet so they can check them out well and help determine the cause. Also, i bet the vet would like to know that sam eyes are not normal since he left
