My dog has a red eye and dry nose. When should I take her to the vet?

She may also be checked for other signs of autoimmune skin disease as the nose can be one of the first areas of affected. I hope this information helps!

Those are a lot of symptoms, and it would be best to schedule a vet visit for your pup for a complete exam and to narrow down possible causes. Allergies, irritation, urinary infections, getting into something irritating, underlying illness or metabolic disease, etc can all be possibilities, so an exam is needed to try and figure out the problem. Be sure to make note of any other symptoms you are seeing, how long these have been ongoing, etc, as they will help your vet better determine what course of action to take.

That does look quite irritated in the picture. Keiko could have an upper respiratory infection causing this or even a foreign body. This should be checked out by a vet, and I strongly urge you to give his vet a call now to make him an appointment for as soon as possible. Any continued abnormal symptoms (longer than 24 hours) warrants a vet exam. I cannot tell you what is wrong with her just by your description. Her symptoms are very vague and could be due to almost any illness. Please get her a vet exam as soon as you can.
