Dog can't breathe due to pollen. Are there pet inhalers or meds?

If she is having difficulty breathing then she should be examined by a vet to determine the cause and treat. Your vet could take an X-ray to evaluate her heart and lungs. If she is scratching a lot then she may also have allergies and your vet can prescribe an antihistamine to treat. Also inspect her for fleas and uses a flea prevention , like NexGard, Bravecto, Frontline, etc.

If nothing else has helped for the bronchitis, I have to wonder is it bronchitis for sure? Could it be anything else? X-rays, heartworm Test, CBC, parasite check are all important. If your vet has ruled out everything else, then yes, you could try an antihistamine to see if there is an allergy component. If not, a lot of people have luck with trying an inhaler with their dog. You are lucky to be in Canada and not here in the States as inhalers are a lot less expensive there! They are used with a mask and spacing system.

Albuterol can be used in dogs under the direction and prescription of your veterinarian. A specialized inhaler is needed to administer the medication. Please follow up with your veterinarian to discuss whether or not Gizmo needs this medication and how it should be administered.

I think it is more likely to be due to something else like a concurrent upper respiratory infection. It could be allergies. Asthma is not very common in dogs, but it cannot be ruled out. Unfortunately, without being able to examine Aminah and listen to her lungs and maybe do x-rays, I am unable to tell you what is causing her symptoms and which medications may be best for her. I would recommend a checkup with the vet.

Draco will need to see a vet for his allergies. He likely needs medication to treat the symptoms, which can only be prescribed by a vet. It's concerning that he is having trouble breathing, and if it appears he's really struggling to breathe, he needs to see a vet immediately. When a puppy struggles to breathe, it can lead to respiratory distress which is fatal without treatment. Should he still be able to breathe ok, you can try using a humidifier or bringing him into the bathroom with the door closed while you take a hot shower - the steam and humidity help to break up congestion and temporarily relieve symptoms. This could certainly be due to asthma which is not treated with antibiotics but rather it is treated with steroids and other medications. Since he has not improved, I recommend that you have Oscar reevaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment.
