Pink mole-like growths on my dog: What are they and are they serious?

Pet's info: Dog | Manchester Terrier(Toy) | Male | neutered | 11 years and 2 months old | 21 lbs

Hi, Zorro has had this pinkish mole like thing by his upper thigh leg, I’m not sure if it maybe got a little bit bigger, he also has had a pink mole like thing on top of his upper chest , here are pics attached, I’m wondering what they could be, it’s really difficult at times to take him to the vet, he was a rescue and has severe anxiety at vet he panics and will try to bite, if he takes a pill sedative he panicks and brakes a nail in his hand and nail starts to bleed, I’m not sure what to do...

Hello. These look to be very typical warts. Just keep an eye on them to make sure they do not start enlarging. Generally, the only time we worry about warts is if a pet begins to chew on them causing bleeding. Otherwise, it is just a sign of aging & there is no need to really worry about them. This cannot be completely assessed just by looking at pictures or a description and usually requires sampling such as fine needle aspiration to determine its origin. Sometimes a biopsy is needed for a definitive diagnosis. I recommend that you have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. I am really hoping for something benign. Luckily no, this is a wart which is a benign skin growth. Many dogs get warts as they age and they are nothing to be overly concerned about unless they get very large or are in a location to be cut when dogs are getting groomed. What are these wart-like growths on my 5-year-old Lhasa Apso's skin?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! As dogs age, they can develop wart-like growths known as adenomas which are benign (non-cancerous) growths. These can be monitored, but if they start bleeding, become infected or she starts scratching at them they can need to be removed. I would recommend she be seen by her regular veterinarian to determine if these are benign wart-like growths, or if they are something more concerning (such as a mast cell tumor). Good luck!

My senior dog has a pink, lumpy growth on his neck. Is it serious?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It looks like a warty growth called an adenoma. These are normal growths in older pets and are not worrisome. You may find more on Minty as he ages. The skin is fragile so if he scratches them they may bleed, but again, nothing to worry about. Kisses to Minty!

My dog chews his growing warts. Are they serious or need removal?

I would recommend having these removed. Mainly because Jango won't leave them alone, they have grown and we cannot say if they are cancerous or not unless we have a biopsy. My senior dog has bleeding, oozing warts on her back. Is it serious?

The pictures look like benign warts, but It is always a good idea to have your vet examine any masses on M. In general, if a wart is bleeding it is worth considering removing it, so it would be worth discussing that with your vet as well. However, we often do not remove warts if they are not causing a problem.
