Is it safe to spray perfume on my dog's fur? What are the risks?

It is unlikely that it is toxic to Bella, but you should keep an eye on her for any vomiting or lethargy over the next several hours. I do not think you have to worry much. Even if your dog had ingested some of the perfume, there is not enough alcohol to hurt her. However her sense of smell may be impaired for a few hours.

Likely nothing will happen if it was just a light spray. In general these products will cause irritation the to nasal passage way. If you have any concerns, I recommend to call the manufacturer of the perfume. They will be familiar with the safety studies and will be able to tell you if the ingredients have toxic risks. Most air fresheners aren’t toxic to dogs and I wouldn’t have any worries unless Bentley has chronic bronchitis, collapsing trachea or another airway disease. In this case you should avoid all air fresheners. Watch for coughing.

I would avoid using essential oils directly on your dog as it could cause skin irritation, or be toxic, depending on the oil. If you use diffusers in your home, making sure Hudson is in a well-ventilated area away from it can help prevent inhalation that could cause irritation or illness.

As long as you washed the BBW soap off fully, Spoticus (I love her name!) should be fine. As long as you don't use the Febreze when she is standing right there, and allow it to dry completely before coming back into the room, it's fine to use.
