My dog has a blister on his penis. Is it safe to use home remedies?

It's possible something may have irritated Barley's penis, causing the blister you are seeing. It is best to keep the area clean and dry and prevent him and other dogs from licking or chewing at the spot. If it doesn't clear up in a day or so, becomes bothersome, or affects his ability to urinate, it is best to have a vet take a look to see if there is a possible infection or other issue causing it.

This looks like a localized area of infection (a pustule). I think it is a good idea to keep the jumpsuit on him so he doesn’t irritate the skin any more over night. Hello. Sorry to hear about Sammy boy's sore on his penis. I would recommend just cleaning it with warm water. I would not put Panalog cream on this as if it is infect you will like need an oral antibiotic. If Sammy boy is not bothered by the sore I would give it a few days to heal on it's own, and if it is getting better to just leave it. If Sammy is chewing or licking at the wound you will need to get an E-Collar/Cone so he cannot lick at it, as the bacteria from his mouth and irritation from licking will make it worse. If the wound does not improve over the next 24-48 hours, or if it looks like it has a yellow discharge, or is bleeding or swollen, then have it seen by a veterinarian.

It is hard to say for sure from the blurry photo but it appears as though the tip of the penis is stuck out of the prepuce. The is not an infection, that is an emergency however. The penis must be returned to the protection of the prepuce or will eventually die off and require amputation. I recommend getting to an ER hospital tonight. In terms of at home remedies, you can try sterile lube and table sugar to try and reduce things. However, I believe at this point you may just want to leave things to the professionals.
