My 7-year-old female Labrador is peeing strangely. Is it a UTI?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | unspayed | 7 years and 1 month old

My dog is urinating as in the attached picture. She is 7 years old female labrador with healthy record. She has been sitting in a tub of water for last two weeks due to high temperature weather in our place. Please help us with this issue.

This could be due to a severe urinary tract infection. She may have bladder stones. She may be beginning a uterine infection since she is not spayed. It is very hard to say without having some urine testing done. I suggest you get her to your vet for an exam and some testing. This is not likely to be something you can treat at home.
