My dog is in pain, won't move, eat, or drink. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 6 days old

My dog is in a lot of pain she either broke or dislocated her hip or butt bone she won't put any pressure on it at all and won't hardly move or eat or drink I need to help her what should I do

Poor Bella! This is a situation where you should absolutely have your pet seen by a veterinarian. They can do a physical exam to determine where and why she is painful, also blood work and x-rays could also be done. At the very least, it sounds like she needs a pain medication, which your vet can provide. Hope this helps, and best wishes.

Inappetence and abdominal pain can be observed with gastrointestinal disorders like dietary indiscretion, pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, among other possibilities. I recommend that you take Bella to your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Bloodwork and abdominal imaging are likely going to be recommended. Treatment would be based on findings. I will hope that there is nothing seriously wrong with Bella! It could be that her abdomen was sensitive that day, and she didn't want it touched. When dogs have an upset stomach, they are more sensitive to being touched in that area. I think it's a good idea to have an ultrasound done to check on her, and as I said in a previous post, just monitor her for now and take her into a vet right away if she becomes sicker.

Poor Bella. If she is that painful in her tummy than she needs to be seen by a vet to determine the cause. Your vet can do a physical exam, run lab-work, and take x-rays to help determine the source of the pain. She could have pancreatitis, an infection, kidney problem, back problem. etc. Please call your vet and have her seen so your vet can prescribe medications to help with any pain.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Tessa. She will need to see her veterinarian today. She sounds very painful. Does she have a history of any joint disease such as arthritis? She could have exacerbated it on her walk yesterday. If not, she could be experiencing unrelated hip, knee or back pain. A lot of dogs will not eat if they are painful. If this does not seem to be the case, she could have an internal problem causing her inappetance and reluctance to move. Either way, her symptoms sound serious and need to be addressed. Poor Bella! It definitely sounds like Bella is uncomfortable. The hard knot does not necessarily indicate organ enlargement, but it can be a mass or tense muscles from the pain. Abdominal pain in dogs has many causes, including pancreatitis, intestinal torsion, and obstructions. Given her level of discomfort, Bella should be seen by a vet right away. Poor baby. It sounds like he may have injured something. It is common for them to injure their back or neck and act this way. I would have your vet look st him today. Your vet will be able to localize the pain and give him the appropriate pain meds to help him feel better. If it is his lower back, you vet may also prescribe him a stool softener so it is easier for him to have a bowel movement. Your vet will also be able to do X-rays if needed. I do not recommend to give any human pain meds as most of these are toxic to dogs. I hope this helps and he starts to feel better soon!
