Why is my dog in pain, won't eat, and has a hard lump on her side?

Poor Bella! This is a situation where you should absolutely have your pet seen by a veterinarian. They can do a physical exam to determine where and why she is painful, also blood work and x-rays could also be done. These symptoms are very concerning for a possible organ enlargement in the abdomen or even heart disease (causes fluid build up in the belly). I would highly recommend taking Buttons in to your vet for some testing (bloodwork and radiographs) to determine the exact cause of her illness. Although I can't know for sure, it's possible Luna is experiencing abdominal pain. Just like humans, there could be many reasons ranging from mild (gas) to serious (bloat). Try taking Luna for a 20 minute, slow controlled walk. Try feeding her a small meal. If the behavior continues beyond 30 minutes or if it seems like it is getting worse, have her examined by the veterinarian right away as it could indicate something serious like bloat. Pain or discomfort on the right side of the chest could be seen with things like a rib fracture or muscle pain in that region. I recommend that you have Bella evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for these possibilities and treat accordingly. Poor Belle! It sounds like she is experiencing some pain and she could have a problem with her back or possibly abdominal pain. In order to diagnose, she needs to be examined by a vet to localize the source if the pain. She may need an anti-inflammatory and pain medications to help treat the problem. You should restrict her activity until she is seen by a vet; no running, jumping, etc. Hope she feels better soon!

Poor Luka! If she is in worse pain, yes take her into a vet immediately. I'm wondering if they have checked her uterus. I see that she isn't spayed, and a pyometra (a life threatening infection of the uterus) could be causing her symptoms. Please take her back into a vet now. Best of luck.

It sounds like Bella is in pain. She likely won't sit down because it hurts too much. It is concerning that she won't eat, and that tells me she is in a lot of pain. I'd take her into the vet first thing in the morning. Tonight, rest her. No running, jumping, or playing. Take her out to potty on a leash only, and bring her right back in when she's done. Please do not give her any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. The vet can prescribe safe pain medications as needed. Best of luck.
