My dog's deworming is overdue. Can I still give it to her today?

I recommend deworming at 10 day intervals. It, of course, depends on the medications, but if you mixed a second dose I would recommend adjusting the remaining doses at the correct interval originally prescribed.

They will evaluate for what specific types of internal parasites he may have and get him started at least on a general dewormer. Panacur is a three day course of treatment, so it would need to be given a couple days in a row. Drontal, for example, is a different dewormer and can be given as early as two weeks apart. Unfortunately I can't answer your question as to if she will be ok or not without knowing the name of the dewormer, but they are typically very safe with few sides effects even when dogs are given more than the recommended dose. Yes she sure can. It can take up to 1 week to rid the first round of worms in her system. Then as the worms in her system go through their 2 week life cycle (from baby worms to adult worms that you see in the poop) they should be treated again as a re-emergence of worms is seen. So the deworming schedule that I follow to ensure all worms (baby's and adults) are gone is as follows: 1) Deworm today 2) Deworm again in 3 days 3) Deworm again in 2 weeks But technically and most of the time you can get away with just doing #'s 1, and 3. Hi, I would not repeat the dewormer dose as you do not want to overdose her on the dewormer. She should be dewormed again in 3 weeks to make sure you got the life cycle of all the parasites she may have. If she is not having diarrhea or weight loss she may not even have worms. There is not a need to deworm her before the vaccines, they will still work properly regardless of the worming. I would go to your vet for vaccines and bring a stool sample with you to see if they could check it for worms. Depending on what eggs they see, they might recommend a different dewormed like pyrantel or panacur (fenbendazole). Either way, i would not redose her because she is so small and it is easy to overdose them and make them sick. If your vet suggests something different, you can follow his or her instructions.
