Updated on September 23rd, 2025

My dog recently scraped her nose while messing up my windows. Will it heal back into its original black color, or will it heal into a pink scar?

If the abrasion was severe enough it may cause scarring of the tissue and lead to permanent depigmentation. If the abrasion is only superficial (which it appears to be in this pic) the pigmentation will likely return.
