Why does my dog have a mouth rash, red ears, and an eyelid rolling in?

What you are describing sounds like entropion (the eyelid rolls inward) but this typically doesn't occur as dogs age. I would recommend bringing Milo to a veterinarian to have them evaluate his eyes and see if there is a scratch or infection so it can be properly treated. Poor Kai! It sounds like he has a few things going on at the moment. He could have an eye infection, allergies, or suffering trauma to his eyes causing them to be red and pink. The ear irritation could be due to an ear infection caused by ear mites, yeast, or bacteria. The excessive licking can be caused by itching, which in turn can be caused by fleas, mites, allergies, or ringworm. The eye is such a delicate and important structure that any problem with it should be considered an emergency. That's because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I would have him seen by a vet right away for his eye problems, and the vet can diagnose all of his symptoms and can treat him for them.

Lesions around the eyes are generally environmental allergies or skin mites. Since the rash is getting worse and not responding to your home care AND it's been going on for 3 weeks, I recommend to have Kira checked by the veterinarian. The doctor may preform a simple test caused a skin scrape to check for mites. Otherwise she may get medication to treat the underlying condition. Try to have her examined in the next few days. Until she is examined, you can use a hypoallergenic baby wipe to cleanse the area. Continue to use the coconut oil (you can do this twice a day). An omega 3 fatty acid supplement may also help to improve her over all skin health. Once the vet knows the underlying condition, she will get the correct medication to correct the problem and allow her skin to return to normal. If this happened within a few hours, then allergies would be my first suspicion. However, it appears that there are areas of hair loss around the eyes and on the face. If this has been more gradual (like in the span of a week or more), then my top suspicion is demodectic mange. This is a microscopic mite that is normally found on the skin and can get out of control in certain conditions. You will have to take Koho to the vet in order to get this diagnosed and adequately treated. It is not unusual for pugs, frenchies and bull dogs to get a facial fold dermatitis. Moisture builds up in the wrinkles and an infection can occur. There are wipes you can get to to wipe the affected areas. I like Mal-a-ket wipes or Douxo chlorhex wipes. Your Vet should carry them Good luck!

It sounds like Koey probably has recurrent ear infections. This can be related to allergies, so you should make an appointment to have your vet take a look and to potentially discuss an allergy work up. Koey may need to restart ear ointment.

Hi. I would be thinking allergies in her case. It can cause redness, itching, secondary infections, even crusts in the area. Pets can be allergic to the protein in their food, environmental allergens, or a combination of the two. When they are younger like Rey, i would lean more towards food allergies. They are usually allergic to the chicken, beef or lamb....the most common ingredients in most over the counter dog foods. I would make an appointmet to get her checked out and get her on medications for secondary infection and itchiness. And also discuss food allergies with your veterinarian.
