How big will my 2-month-old mixed puppy get & what to feed him?

What a cute puppy! Looking at his age, current weight and build, I would guess somewhere between 40-50lbs. This is completely a guess however. There is a breed analysis called Wisdom Panel and it is fairly accurate on the adult size and is very accurate for the breeds detected. He is certainly a cutie! It is truly impossible to determine the origins of a mixed breed dog based on appearances. particularly one this young. I can see what could be cane corso or another mastiff/bully breed in his face. If you want to know his lineage I would recommend a genetic test. As far as his size, it will depend on his parents if you have seen them, or for a very rough estimate we sometimes will see what the weight at 3 months is and triple this for a guess at adult size.

From what I can see, he looks like a medium-to-large breed of some sort. Possibly some kind of retriever mix, but that's just a guess. If you don't have any information about his parents, your best bet would be to have a DNA test such as a Wisdom panel done. This would give you more information about what breed (or mix of breeds) he is, which would allow you to make a more educated guess about his adult size and weight.

Yes that is a lot of food. I suggest you feed a good brand complete puppy food for medium to large breeds (depending on how big your dog will be) and feed your puppy according to the label on the food. It should give you a daily ration and you should then feed this over three to four feeds divided. This then would be the proper amount to feed.

Based on his current weight, I would expect this mix to be around 30 lbs when he reaches adulthood, but this is a rough estimate. They shouldn't be losing any weight as puppies, but this does happen sometimes when they are in a new environment, or have a medical condition (i.e. diarrhea). I wouldn't be too worried if he lost a little weight, but is otherwise acting normal and appears healthy. It's good that you are thinking about controlling his diet. I recommend feeding a small breed puppy food to Pepe until he is about eight months old, then he can be switched to an adult food. A good dog food will have the adequate amount of calories calculated into their recommended feeding guidelines (can find this on the bag). If you feed according to that and limit the amount of treats and/or table scraps he gets, then you should be able to keep him from getting overweight. Cute puppy! I wonder if she has some herding breed in her with those white feet... At this age it's pretty tough to offer any kind of accurate guess. There's no perfect prediction, but a general guideline is that at 3 months of age (~12 weeks) puppies tend to be about 1/3 of their adult weight, and at 4 months of age (~16 weeks) they tend to be about 1/2 of their adult weight. So, if you hold off a few more weeks, once Luna is about 3 months old we can start to get a bit of a better idea! Hope that helps!

From th epictures he looks likehe may be a medium-large collie type and should do very well with obedience training and should be intelligent and high energy, Be sure to keep him occupied in order to prevent any desructive tendencies and consider crate training also. HE should be fed 4 times a day at such a young age and be sure to keep him up to date with monthly deworming medications. Your vet can help to estimate his age from his teeth and advise on dates for vaccination schedule
