How big will my mixed breed puppy get and what traits will it have?

Hi there. I'm afraid it's not possible to tell what breed a puppy is just by looking at a photo, as coat color and length, general body shape, etc. often change a great deal as puppies grow. From what I can see, he looks like a medium-to-large breed of some sort. Possibly some kind of retriever mix, but that's just a guess. If you don't have any information about his parents, your best bet would be to have a DNA test such as a Wisdom panel done. This would give you more information about what breed (or mix of breeds) he is, which would allow you to make a more educated guess about his adult size and weight.

What a cute puppy! Looking at his age, current weight and build, I would guess somewhere between 40-50lbs. This is completely a guess however. There is a breed analysis called Wisdom Panel and it is fairly accurate on the adult size and is very accurate for the breeds detected. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! He is adorable! He is a mixed breed dog but a predominant breed is hard to guess as he looks very well mixed. I would say that he has some characteristics of a Newfoundland and a Bernese mountain dog. I would say that he is likely to be a medium-sized breed dog to perhaps a bit larger. Good luck!

It is very difficult to assess in the picture as there are very few landmarks to judge relative size. He appears to be a medium-large breed and would likely be 25-40kg. I would err on the side of caution and feed a large breed puppy diet in order to optimise bone and joint development and allow for steady growth to his full potential

Drogo is super cute! So sorry but there is no way to tell what breed he is just by looking at the photos. If you asked 50 vets you would likely get at least 45 different answers/guesses. What a cutie. My guess would be pit bull mix, with a combo of at least 3-4 breeds. If you'd like to know his background there are genetic tests you can do for fun. Embark and Wisdom Panel are both companies that offer this service. Enjoy your new addition!

Maltipoo/lab i seriously doubt it, Chihuahua/lab i can maybe see it. The only way to know for sure if it is a pure breed is to have a DNA test done. many companies offer this service and the process is easy and quite cheap. this is just one example: http://dnamydog.com/
