Is it safe to give my dog milk until they turn one year old?

Puppy milk is fine to give Prince, but given that he is one month of age, he really doesn't need it. As his age, water is the only liquid he needs. Please do not give him buttermilk. Dairy products cause GI upset in dogs, and he does not need it. I hope this helps!

It could also cause digestive issues as most dogs don't tolerate lactose well. If Percy really loves it then giving a tiny tiny bit as a treat likely won't cause issues, however I would make sure you have his main diet as a high quality puppy food. Keep in mind though, once dogs are no longer puppies, most of them lose the ability to properly digest/breakdown dairy products so it is not really recommended that you give them milk. It is not recommended to give most dogs milk. Milk can upset the tummy. Milk is safe in small amounts (like a teaspoon) but it may upset the tummy even in small quantities. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Hello, Scooby can have milk in his food as long as he tolerates it well. Some dogs may have hypersensitivity to milk proteins so if Scooby develops any diarrhea or vomiting with the milk than discontinue sprinkling milk on his food. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Cow's milk isn't digestible to dogs at this age, so I would definitely not give that or you will almost certainly get loose stools. A boiled egg is high in calories also, so its best to limit this to 3-4 times a week at most or you have the potential to make Charlie a bit overweight. He is a rather cute puppy though. No. You can not give Sparky 2% milk. The milk of cows is different form the milk of cows. Also, Sparky is MUCH too young to go to his new home. Puppies should stay with the mother until 8-12 weeks of age. Puppies who are removed too early often struggle with socialization with other dogs and they can have problems with bite inhibition. Sparky will not even be weaned until he is 6 weeks old. Any breeder letting puppies leave the mother at 3 weeks old should not be trusted. Puppies should only be removed this early if there is a medical concern or if they are in danger.
