My dog has a low fever. Does sugar water help or is a vet needed?

What if my dog has a low fever.. does sugar and warm water helps? Because here in the Philippines.. when our dog has a fever, we usually use sugar and warm water to make them feel better...

A dog's normal temperature can be as high as 102.5, so below that it's normal (99-102.5 is normal). Especially at such as young age, I wouldn't attempt any home treatments for a fever and get to a vet right away. That said, sugar and warm water wouldn't do anything for the fever, except if it encouraged extra drinking which could support general health
