My female pit has a long heat cycle and only eats treats. Why?

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 11 months old | 60 lbs

My 4 yr old pit seems to be having a longer than normal heat cycle. She is still drinking water but will only eat treats. Any ideas ?

If she is not eating normally than she should be examined by a vet to determine the cause. She could have an infection and your vet can run lab-work and take an x-ray, if needed, to help diagnose and then prescribe medications to treat. She may need an antibiotic.
