Why is my dog itchy, rubbing head, anxious, and refusing walks?

I would recommend that you have Lucy examined by a vet. Itchy ears isn't often a sign of anxiety, but it could indicate infection, which is easily treated. The skin in your picture also looks very irritated. The vet can figure out what is causing her to itchy so badly and recommend treatments to start. They can also discuss her separation anxiety and recommend supplements or medications that can help her while you are gone for the day.

It sounds like something irritated his skin. Do some investigating and see if you can part his hair away and look at his skin for more clues. IF you don't see any irritation, then the culprit was probably not severe enough to cause harm to the skin. You can then try bathing him in an aloe-based or oatmeal-based shampoo to see if this can help calm his skin down and then monitor him for the next few hours for improvement. If hsi irriation worsens or does not resolve, then it is best to get Bix evaluated by your vet for further treatment. Poor LouLou! It sounds like she has developed some anxiety over something or could be painful somewhere and unable to tell you. You could try some Benadryl to see if this helps calm her. You could also try a calming collar like adaptil. It may or may not help. If this doesn't work or she gets worse, I would strongly recommend to have your vet look at her to ensure she isn't painful anywhere. Hello, sorry to hear about Snowie, it looks like she may be developing a hot spot in that area. This is most likely associated with topical allergies. Allergies may affect more than just the skin and can make dogs feel anxious, have excessive panting, excessive licking and scratching, and occasionally a decreased appetite. If these signs persists then she should be evaluated by her veterinarian. In the interim, you should make sure that Snowie is not scratching at her neck excessively. Based on what you are describing I would guess that Charlie may have gotten stung or bitten by something on his face while on the walk. He should be fine and may just have a little focal area of irritation. If you notice any facial swelling he may be having an allergic reaction. It’s possible his anal glands are full/uncomfortable. If they are bulging on either side of his anus when you palapate from the outside, then that definitely could be the case. I recommend bringing him to your vet for a rectal exam/anal gland expression and to check his ears. He likely will need and ear cleaner and a steroid/antibiotic/antifungal/antiyeast ointment such as otomax/kometamax/posatex if he has an ear infection. A few days of an allergy medication called Apoquel may help as well. Good luck!

If he seems weak in his rear legs it is possible that he has a spinal injury or some kind of trauma. I don't think that itching would be related however - it's also possible that he has fleas or another skin condition and that the itching is what is making him walk abnormally. I'd recommend having a vet examine him to determine what is going on.
