Dog itching, spots, and wounds: Is it allergies or infection?

Pet's info: Dog | Poodle | Male | 6 months and 6 days old | 14 lbs

Hello I have a puddle 6 months he has some spots as you ca see in the pictures his had them since October same time i got him. He itches a lot and creates wounds. His vet says that is an allergy. We checked for lice we change his food and put him on Apoquel for four weeks bc he was itching so bad but as soon as we stop he became worse. He has done only three vaccines because of his condition please can you help me bc the vet doesnt know what to say anymore and my dog is suffering

It looks like Sushi has a skin infection at this time that should be treated with antibiotics. There is nothing that will “cure” allergies. It is constant management in these cases. If the apoquel worked well for him then you may want to consider having him on it long term. There is also another product called cytopoint. It is a once monthly injection. I would encourage you to visit with your veterinarian regarding this injection. But most importantly the infection needs to be treated at this time. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.
