My dog's ingrown nail is red and swollen. What should I do and cost?

My dog’s thumb nail grew into her paw and it’a red and swollen. What should we do? And how much will it cost?

Poor Coco! You will need to take her into the vet to have the nail cut, the area cleaned, and antibiotics as well as pain medication prescribed. The exam visit alone will likely be between $45-$55, but if they need to sedate her, that will be an additional cost as well as the medications. The vet can give you an estimate when they see her.
