It could be from an infection, irritation/trauma, or possibly bladder stones. Your vet can test a urine sample for infection and then prescribe medications to help treat the problem. You could also consider having him neutered to help decrease the problem in the future.

It may be that she has a urinary infection changing her smell that has caused this behavior. I recommend a urinalysis just to be sure. Otherwise this can be a way to show dominance over her if some of the household dynamics have changed. I generally do not think of humping as a medical problem for the male dog, more as a reaction to something new in his environment. Unneutered dogs can masturbate and ejaculate. This is a normal behavior, and if you don't want this to continue, I recommend having him neutered as soon as possible. He may continue masturbating, especially if he's learned it feels good, but it will stop him from ejaculating.

Your dog very likely has some kind of urinary tract infection or he could be injuring the delicate tissue of his penis as he humps the pillow. First, I would get him checked by your vet for an infection of some kind. If he checks out healthy, or to curb this behavior in the future to avoid further injury, when you see him humping the pillow, distract him with a toy or by asking him to perform a trick or task for you, to offer him a pleasant alternative to the pillow. An enlarged prostate would be very unlikely in a dog this young. Dogs can however develop urinary tract infections or bladder stones that can make them urinate frequently. If this has been a recent change I'd recommend making an appointment with your veterinarian.

I strongly recommend a full health check, urine test and possibly an ultrasound scan of the bladder to rule out infection, inflammation or bladder stones which may be causing discomfort, partial blockage of the bladder neck and pain.
