Why is my dog peeing blood after humping a dog in heat, is it serious?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 5 lbs

My dog has blood in his pee but we also have another dog in heat and he is going crazy humping and licking could the blood be from him licking and the irritation of the humping and licking or is it something else more serious?

It could be from an infection, irritation/trauma, or possibly bladder stones. Your vet can test a urine sample for infection and then prescribe medications to help treat the problem. You could also consider having him neutered to help decrease the problem in the future.

There are many possible reasons, stones, infections and inflammation are amongst the most common and are readily treated once confirmed. I recommend you take a morning urine sample with you for initial testing, xrays and ultrasound may also be required

When dogs are in heat they drip blood from their vulvas and the vulva is swollen. The blood usually isn’t just seen in the urine. Dogs in heat usually don’t have urgency to urinate, straining or urinary accidents. Causes of blood in the urine are: urinary tract infection, crystals in the urine or bladder stones. I would collect urine and store it in the fridge and have Riley seen tomorrow by your Vet.

She can have a urinary tract infection, bladder stones, a kidney issue or even a bladder mass. Why is my dog bleeding from his penis after humping a pillow?

Your dog very likely has some kind of urinary tract infection or he could be injuring the delicate tissue of his penis as he humps the pillow. First, I would get him checked by your vet for an infection of some kind. If he checks out healthy, or to curb this behavior in the future to avoid further injury, when you see him humping the pillow, distract him with a toy or by asking him to perform a trick or task for you, to offer him a pleasant alternative to the pillow. Over time, he may come to abandon the pillow.

My dog drips blood after peeing and straining to mark. Is it a UTI?

This behavior can actually be a sign of a UTI or bladder stones. I'd have Monty seen by a vet for this for blood work and a urinalysis. Using these tests, the vet can diagnose if he has one of the things I mentioned above, and can treat him. I'd take him into a vet today. I hope this helps!
