That sounds like the correct dose of pyrantel. I don't know if Billy is not eating because of taking the pyrantel or not. Some diarrhea while treating for worms is expected. Unless the diarrhea is extremely water I would not overly worried about dehydration especially since he is drinking water. I would, however, be worried about a puppy that doesn't eat for longer than 48 hours. I suggest you call your vet for more advice.

It's best to wait until Jerry has recovered from the Parvo infection before giving the deworming tablet. If you give it now, she may vomit the medication and it will ultimately be ineffective. Pyrantel (roundworms, hookworms and whipworms) and Drontal plus (also effective against tapeworms) are safe for nursing female dogs. Intestinal parasites are zoonotic/transmissible to humans by fecal/oral contact so be super diligent about hand washing after handling her or her pups. Poor pups. While a heavy parasite load can cause severe GI upset, and anemia which can cause a pup to become extremely lethargic, have bloody diarrhea, etc, I would also want to rule out underlying illnesses as a possibility. It would be best to bring them to a vet ASAP especially if they are lethargic or unable to keep any food or water down as puppies can quickly become very dehydrated. They may also need supportive care such as an IV or injected medications if they are very ill from the parasites or other causes. You can try continuing to offer water, or rubbing a little honey on their gums for energy until you can get to the vet, however due to the severity of symptoms it would be best to seek emergency care.

In the event you were seeing a life threatening worm burden, your puppy would be extremely thin, likely having chronic diarrhea, severe dehydration, paleness, and would not be thriving at all. The anemia could be because of the worms, as well as the nutritional demands of pregnancy and nursing her pups.
