My dog hit his nose on a door. Should I worry about a foamy mouth?

Your dog may have ingested something bitter or toxic, burned or otherwise irritated his mouth or could be nauseated. I recommend getting him seen by your vet right away for an exam and treatment if needed.

It sounds like Raph has been very lucky. As long as he seems neurologically normal, there is no bleeding and his eyes focus normally without rotating strangely he should be fine. If you notice anything odd get him checked asap.

Hello. It sounds like you can jut watch her overnight & see if there is any swelling, continued bleeding, either from the mouth or nose, & how comfortable she is eating & drinking in the morning. Hopefully, she will juts be a little bruised, & if she has no other problems except some swelling, there is no need to rush her in to your veterinarian. It's very common for dogs to have a bit of foam on their tongue or near their mouth if they have been running and playing hard - this happens because they are panting hard during exercise, which dries out their mouth and makes their saliva thicker, causing it to look foamy. As long as Mia is acting normal otherwise, this should not be any cause for concern :)

I’s sorry to hear about Gizmo but this happens VERY commonly so don’t beat yourself up. If he is eating well and playing, I’m not very concerned. If he does become lethargic or his pupils look different or you have concerns, get him checked out. My guess is that he’ll be fine! Best of luck to you and Gizmo!

Things to be concern about are crying in pain, excessive tiredness, not wanting to eat, etc. I wish you the best!

I'm sorry Oliver hurt himself. He should be ok since he is acting normal. Monitor for a continued bleeding from the nose, dull mental state, vomiting, wobbly gait, tremors, or seizures. These would be signs of head trauma and Oliver should be seen right away.
