If the signs persist more than 12 hours a check up would be needed both to have her checked and give appropriate treatment. Pain relief meds may be necessary. In the meantime keep her quiet and monitor her for any other sign other than what you described (which are probably to due to mild discomfort and not specific of anything concerning).

Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Although Mya is still eating, drinking, and having normal bathroom habits, the shaking and lethargy is a concern. Shaking can sometimes be an indication of pain or discomfort in dogs or can be a symptom of certain endocrine diseases. I would recommend having her seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible. In this case, it is very hard to say for certain what is going on with Mya without examining her first. A veterinary exam would be a good place to start so she can be evaluated head to tail. Your veterinarian may recommend blood work and/or x-rays be run on Mya as well to help determine a diagnosis. I hope this helps and thanks again for posting!

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Bonita! She is adorable! There are many reasons for panting, shaking and hiding. She could have been scared by something, have a fever or she could be painful. If she is not eating or drinking and this behavior continues I recommend that you take her to the Vet for an exam. If they find that she is painful they will prescribe appropriate medications for the condition they diagnose her with. I hope this helps and I wish Bonita a speedy recovery!

She is probably shivering because her body is trying to adjust after losing so much food and fluid when she vomited. Try to keep her calm and comfortable for now. You may want to see if she needs to get up and walk outside. If her abnormal behavior continues for more than a few hours you should consider taking her to be examined by the vet. I hope this helps. You should get your dog to a vet immediately for a thorough examination as there may have been some serious damage done that is not obvious. Hopefully not and it is just the development of some muscle pain etc but at the very least the vet will be able to give some pain relief, alongside peace of mind.

I am very sorry to hear that Amber is not herself, For the time being I would continue to monitor at home. She may be feeling slightly under the weather, and more signs are to follow soon. I recommend monitoring her for lethargy, reduced appetite or evidence of pain (yelping when jumping or running, being pet in certain areas, or overall reduced activity).
