What's this growing, hairless lump on my dog that leaks clear fluid?

The picture that attached looks like a fluid filled cyst (pocket of fluid). If so this is not concerning. Marley may scratch it and it could burst. Also not concerning but it may fill back up. The only way to cure a cyst is to surgically remove it. Discuss your options with your vet. Good luck and kisses to Marley!

However, I would be unable to confirm this with just a description. I would recommend having a veterinarian examine the growth so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. The vet can insert a small needle into the mass and look at the fluid / cells under a microscope to help determine what it could be, a test called a fine needle aspirate with cytology. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Thanks for the pictures! I see these commonly around the ears and neck. They tend to be benign cysts. They are clear because there is fluid in them. You can have the cyst drained but they tend to fill back up. You can discuss removing it with your Vet, if the cyst is smaller than 8 mm maybe they can remove it with lidocaine. I hope this helps and I wish Toby the best!

This looks like a skin mass or tumor. Sometimes a benign growth or cyst can have some material inside that you can squeeze out like this. Unfortunately it also could be a malignant mass. I would recommend having your vet take a look - they may want to take a sample using a small needle to help determine what it is.

If this lump fills up with clear fluid, it is most likely a cyst. These are usually nothing to be concerned by, but they will keep filling up over and over. The only way to get rid of them permanently is to have them surgically removed. Most of the time this isn't necessary as cysts are mostly cosmetic.

Markey is lovely! This lump looks suspicious to me, it could just be an infected wart or cyst but I'm concerned it could be a type if skin tumour. To be safe I would take Marley to the vet and they can test the lumps by sampling with a needle and sending to the lab. If iris a tumour it is better to find out what it is now and then it can be dealt with before it gets bigger.
