My dog is gagging, eating grass, and acting needy. Should I see a vet?

This could indicate a mild case of stomach irritation called gastritis. Dogs have no need for chlorophyll. If she's eating a balanced commercial diet and absorbing it Chloe should be getting all the vitamins and minerals and needs. As long as Chloe is eating, drinking and acting normally you could watch her dog now. But if she stops eating, vomits blood or coffee-ground looking material, or seems painful she should get checked out by her veterinarian

I would try to keep him from eating any strings if possible because these can cause an obstruction in the GI tract that could require surgery to repair. If he is no longer vomiting, eating and acting normal with normal bowel movements, you could continue to just watch him. if he starts any abnormal behavior or symptoms restart, i would have your vet take a look at him. Your vet will be able determine the cause and get him treated before things get worse. Plus, since he is so small, i worry he may get dehydrated quickly. The vigorous smelling and licking could be just his personality or a result of anxiety. If it happens often, it may be something to talk to your vet about to see if he needs anti-anxiety meds. It sounds as Chloe is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

Your dog should be seen by your vet as soon as possible. Your dog is more than likely suffering from some kind of gastrointestinal upset, some toxic exposure, bacterial infection or other disorder. Your vet will do an exam, labwork and possibly x-rays to determine the reason for your pet's illness and get her started on treatment.

It's possible Princess may be feeling a bit nauseated or have some GI upset if she is choking or gagging/drooling. Bringing her to your vet for a checkup to rule out GI upset, allergies, etc, and bringing along a stool sample to test for any common issues such as parasites, etc that can cause GI upset may help.

Poor girl. Her repeated swallowing behavior and eating grass suggest that Snickers is likely nauseous. She may have eaten something that upset her stomach or may even have something caught in her throat. See if you can get her to open her mouth so you can take a peek towards the back of her throat for any foreign objects. IF she does not allow you to do so and otherwise seems fine, just let her rest tonight and get her examined in the morning by your regular vet if the problem continues. I have seen this a lot in dogs that have a stick stuck to the roof of their mouth, so a foreign object is highly suspected here. It could be Chloe has a severe stomach illness, may have eaten something rotten,could have a foreign body, or pancreatitis. It's very concerning that she has been vomiting and not eating for the past 24 hours. I'd have her seen by a vet now to have this diagnosed and treated. I hope this helps!
