My dog has a fever, is not eating, and vomiting. How to give medicine?

If she has a high fever and is not improving, I would take her back in to the veterinarian for further treatment. If she has not been on an antibiotic, I would recommend doing so and also consider giving her a fever reducer, which your vet can provide. I hope this helps! Based on the symptoms you have outlined, I would guess that Chai most likely has some sort of infection somewhere within the body. Given that there is some vomiting, a reasonable assumption would be somewhere within the digestive tract, liver, or pancreas. Only blood work would provide us with enough information to at least point us in one direction or another. Chai is going to require some medications to address the vomiting and fever, as well as some fluids most likely to correct any dehydration that is taking place. If there is an infection somewhere within the body, at least one antimicrobial drug will be required to clear things up. I don't know about the Philippines, but in USA most of the drugs that will be required to help Chai are prescription only, meaning you will have to find a veterinarian to help you. Some other possibilities other than an infection would include organ failure, an endocrine condition called Addison's disease, and even cancer. A fever this high is usually indicative of a bacterial or viral disease going on. Your veterinarian will need to run some tests to try and determine the cause of the fever. Once the cause is identified the proper antibiotics, antifungals, or antipruritic drugs can be prescribed. The tablet given to your dog is basically a fever reducer but will not treat the cause of the fever. I would recommend taking your dog in for a recheck as soon as you’re able to. Poor guy. Not every pet with a fever has an infection, so if the antibiotic isn’t working it’s either because there is no infection, the infection is internal, or the antibiotic is not the right kind of antibiotic for the infection. Your pet needs additional testing to sort this out and make sure we are on the right track with treatment. I would start with baseline bloodwork and a urinalysis. Best to take your pet back in to your vet or to another vet for a second opinion here so that we can get a proper diagnosis and tailored treatment based on your pets specific problem. You don't need to give him any medications at the moment. human meds to reduce fever are not suitable for dogs and medications to reduce fever are rarely given in case of mild fever. if your dog does not seem to get better within 48 hours you should take him to the vet in order to get it checked and treated.

Oh my. Poor guy. If he has a fever this can be caused by a bacterial or viral infection (i.e. Parvovirus if he isn't fully vaccinated). I would have him tested for parvovirus first and if that comes up negative he needs full panel bloodwork and a urinalysis. to fully evaluate him. He should be on antibiotics and fluid therapy to help bring down his fever. He also needs anti-vomit medication to prevent him from becoming dehydrated due to excessive vomiting. If his condition has not improved within 24-48 hrs, then you should consider having him hospitalized so that he can get around the clock care and treatment. Poor guy. I do hope that your pup Shadow is able to make a full and speedy recovery from his illness. For tonight you can try feeding him some slghly warmed up cans of baby food (meat and vegetables or squash) to try to entice him to eat. I am sorry Sweety isn’t feeling well. There isn’t a simple solution to resolving fevers in puppies at home. I would have her evaluated by her veterinarian as soon as possible with the symptoms you have described. They can determine if she does in fact have a fever (a dry nose doesn’t necessarily mean a fever) and will look for the underlying cause. If they are closed for the weekend and/ or if Sweety becomes more lethargic, continues vomiting , or will not eat, I would bring her to your closest emergency veterinarian. In the meantime, It is important to keep her as hydrated as you can. Continue offering her small amounts of water frequently. If she is holding the water down you can offer her small amounts of very bland food such as boiled chicken breast and white rice. I hope Sweety is feeling much better soon.
