Puppy fell from stroller with cone. Is she okay if acting normal?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 5 months and 29 days old | 7.2 lbs

My puppy fell out of her stroller a little while ago. She has a cone on from her spay on Monday so I think her perception is off. Anyway she fell on her back on the sidewalk and then shot up and took off, but she didn't cry. I checked her for anything that might be broken, checked her stitches too to make sure it's not open everything looks fine but I'm still worried. Again she didn't cry out & she's acting completely normal but I just need the reassurance. It happened so fast I'm worried.

She's probably totally fine - a fall from a stroller is a pretty low height, and if she popped up and ran off right away, I expect that she's ok. If she starts doing any limping or becomes lethargic, you should go to the vet, but I doubt that will be the case. Best of luck! :)

My puppy fell off the couch. She seems fine, what to watch for?

Poor Naila! I'm glad to hear that she is playing and active after the fall. Fortunately, falling from the couch is a relatively short distance. At this point, since Naila is active with no signs of pain or injury, there is nothing you need to do. However, closely watch her over the next day or so to make sure she continues moving around normally, acting normally, and is eating and drinking appropriately. If you observe any changes, she should see a vet for an exam. I hope that all goes well!

It is difficult to know without an examination. If she is till acting abnormal then she should be examined and treated by a vet. Hopefully she is acting fine and has recovered. it would be a good idea to keep her off the couch so she can't injure herself again.

Hello. Most likely the puppy is fine, but you might want to pick her up & do a little exam on her. Gently pull on each leg & make sure she pulls back evenly ( you might want to try this with a litter mate first to get an idea of what is normal ). Then see how she does when you place her back down. Does she wiggle in a normal manner back to mom. If she seems to react in a similar manner to her siblings, then she is probably fine. Newborns are pretty resilient. Given her age, she should be physically examined by your veterinarian. X-rays may be indicated to rule out fractures. Restrict her activity to just leash walks for elimination. Avoid excessive running, jumping or rough play. Do not medicate her as many OTC drugs cannot be used in puppies or may be toxic to dogs.

Yes, I think he’ll be fine. Luckily puppies are very resilient and many minor injuries heal quickly in young animals. If there was a serious head injury he would be lethargic, not responsive or not eat or drink normally. He may have some discomfort on his head for a day or so but probably no lasting issues.
