My dog fell on the street. She seems okay, but should I be concerned?

If Chiquita seems to be fine then I would not be overly worried. If she does anything abnormal like not eating, limping, is lethargic, etc then you should get her to the vet right away. I would suggest to monitor him closely for the next 48 hours and record any abnormal sign you may notice. Hello. Make sure the color of her gums & mucous membranes keep a nice pink color. Observe her breathing at rest & while sleeping. If her respirations are 30 breaths per minute or less while she is sleeping, & her gums remain nice & pink, for the next 24 hours, she will be fine. If Ellie landed on her feet and is walking and acting fine, then it would be ok to monitor for now and bring her to the veterinarian if you notice any lameness or any abnormalities like loss of appetite or something like that. However, if she landed on her head then it would be best to have her examined by a veterinarian to make sure she is ok since she is so small. Good luck and have a good night! If Coco is otherwise normal and there is no indication she is experiencing any pain, no real need to rush off to the veterinarian. However, if you notice she is tender or painful to the touch on the side of the collision, is experiencing breathing abnormalities, becomes lethargic or has a sudden decrease in appetite, I would recommend bringing her in to see her veterinarian for an exam and perhaps x-rays.
