Is it a good idea to add water to my dog's wet and dry food?

Wet food can stick to the teeth more which can cause dental disease or may worsen current dental disease so you may want to stick to just the hard kibble unless your veterinarian has recommended extra water be added to his diet due to a medical condition (such as kidney disease for example).

I do not recommend supplementing a complete & balanced dog food with anything. The granulated gravy may add flavor, but it's not adding any nutritional value for Bailey. However, as long as you keep fresh water out all the time, and Bailey has no underlying health conditions which would require food modifications, it's not a big deal and is likely fine to continue.

If your dogs won't eat this food well I would try a different brand or try adding water to the dry food or even add a tablespoon of canned food with water. Adding human foods is a slippery slope. Yes this is fine to do. Slowly replace some of the dry food with wet food, starting with just a teaspoon and working up to however much Duncan needs over 3-5 days.
