Why do my dog's eyes water when eating? Is it a dental problem?

This could be related to the active chewing/swallowing affecting the drainage of tears or may even be due to a sensitivity to certain ingredients. I would try transitioning her to a hydrolyzed diet such as royal canin anallergenic for an 8 week trial period to rule in or out any food sensitivities. If negative, flushing the tear ducts and a full oral/throat exam under sedation may help to identify any blockages

There may be clogged tear duct that is causing the dry eye and nose. The lacrimal duct connects the nose to the eye, so I would worry there is an obstruction. A dry eye can lead to an infection as it makes things worse. i would talk to your vet about an exam under sedation to flush the duct to see if this helps.

Excessive drooling can be caused by mouth problem (bad teeth, abscesses, wounds, blisters on the gums), stomach diseases (excessive acid production, reflux), infections, pain, nausea and more. Please, take Daisy to your local vets for an appointment. Excessive drooling should be always investigated and treated as required. It could be he has an eye infection. I would take him into the vet first thing in the morning for a health check. The most common cause of tears developing on the face on the inner corner of the eyes would be a problem the the nasolacrimal or tear ducts. These are tiny tubes that connect the inner corner of the eyelids with the nostril and in a normal pet tears that lubricate the eyes will then flow through these ducts into the nostril. If the ducts become obstructed then the tears spill over onto the face. I would recommend an exam at your vet to see if this is the issue. Sometimes the ducts can be flushed and reopened.

Pets can develop tear stains due to many issues including food, water quality, minerals in the water and some dogs produce the discoloration naturally due to blocked tear ducts. Since this has just started, I recommend to have Bella checked by the veterinarian who will look for clues to a medical condition like allergies or an infection. If no medical cause is identified, you may try a product like Angel Eye which comes in wipes or an oral supplement. You can also try allowing her only distilled water. You can also try a food change to something like Nutro Essentials which has non-GMO products and no artificial ingredients. Avoid grain free diets. That could be Bailey's third eyelid, which is a normal part of the dog's eye anatomy. But it should not be out when the dog's eye is open, which indicates a problem. I'd have her seen by a vet for this.
