What to do if my dog's eye is shut and red from a spider bite?

My dog got bit by a spider and her eye is completely shut but when open is red. I don't know what to do.

Oh no, poor Brownie! This is a medical emergency and she needs to see a vet now. Certain spiders are toxic to dogs, and it's also very serious her eye is completely shut. She needs veterinary treatment now. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.
