My dog's eye is peeling, red, swollen, and bleeding. What should I do?

Based on your pictures, Sally could have an eye infection and there may also be trauma to the surface of the eye. I would recommend having Sally examined by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. She may need an eye ointment to help treat an infection and ointment for the skin that appears to be quite irritated. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction.   It is very difficult to tell from the photo but it almost looks like she was bitten by something. Any chance another dog or a cat could have bitten her? It is also hard to tell if there is any swelling. Is there? If there is swelling, I definitely suggest you have your vet take a look at her to be on the safe side. If there is no swelling you can try applying some Neosprorin topically to the wounds (don't get it in the eye, you only need a very thin layer) for the next few days - if no improvement or she gets more lesions then she should definitely see the vet at that point. Also, do not use any hydrogen peroxide or other medications on wounds around the eye. If you want to wash it just use warm water soaked cotton balls.
