my dog luca has some pus or some sort of mucus at the corner of his right eye, is it ok to use polisporin for eyes on him?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Paddy!
I wouldn't recommend using anything in the eye before having him seen by your Vet. Not all eye ointments are safe to use in animals. I would just recommend gently warm compressing his eye until your appointment. If he is rubbing the eye use an Elizabethan collar (cone) or donut to prevent him from damaging the eye further.
