Why is my dog sick with eye discharge, panting, and coughing?

Those symptoms are very vague and could be attributed to almost any illness or disease process. You should take her to a vet for an exam if at all possible. She could have an upper respiratory infection, pneumonia, a virus (like distemper) or so many other possibilities. It is best to get a diagnosis from the vet and then treat her accordingly.

They will not vaccinate a sick puppy as it will not work and stress their immune system more With those signs I would worry about an infection such as distemper or respiratory virus. She does need to be seen by the vet so she can get treatment for that

The eye discharge could be caused by dehydration, allergies, conjunctivitis, distemper virus, etc. The rapid breathing could be caused by distemper virus, pneumonia, bacterial infection, anemia, among many others. I would recommend that you take the puppies to the vet to get checked out, as many of these problems can be life-threatening in a very young dog. Eating chicken poop doesn't necessarily cause disease, but drinking from a septic system can cause very severe GI illness. If you can't get them to the vet today, then try to get them to drink as much water/gatorade/pedialyte as possible to keep them hydrated. Make sure they are eating puppy food so they do not become hypoglycemic.

Poor Caeser. The white discharge charge from the eyes indicates he may have an eye infection. Any eye problem needs to be checked out by a vet promptly, as leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I'm concerning about him panting more than normal, and cried a few times standing up. Because he has had this eye discharge for the last week, yes I would take him into a vet asap. Best of luck.

Poor Liz. I definitely recommend to see the vet, she might need to start some medication depending on the result of the clinical examination. Probably she isn't putting in danger the puppies at this stage, but if she starts to be lethargic or inappetent, her energy to look after the puppies will decrease as well as her milk production quality and quantity. I am concerned that she is having such trouble breathing. This could be another pneumonia, an upper respiratory infection, a fungal infection, a congenital heart problem and much more. If your vet has already done X-rays and they were normal, you may want to talk to them about having an ultrasound of the heart done. Also, I would have her blood work checked to see how her liver and kidney values are and see what her white blood count looks like. Finally, I would talk to your vet about whether see needs some antibiotics and medicine to help her breathing. I hope this helps and she starts to feel better soon.

This sounds like she has a mild cold or upper respiratory infection. Generally these are viral colds and will run their course over a week or so. Just like with us no antibiotics are needed unless she develops a secondary bacterial infection. If the discharge becomes green and her condition worsens then please bring her right in for treatment.
